The experience of state officials and veterinarians in Florida seems to be paying off in the successful containment to date of a possible outbreak of Equine Herpes Virus (strain EHV-1) at the large hunter-jumper show known as "HITS Ocala" in central Florida. The show issued an update statement today and a seminar with veterinarians is planned for Tuesday, February 26.
